This is the sort of thing I have to contend with on my plot. Bindweed and Couch grass is rife at the moment.

Waiting for the ground to soften up from all the rain and also until there's significant growth improves likelihood that it can be removed easily from the ground. It can be difficult to remove it from the surface though.

Last year the ground was impossible to dig in the summer but this year the ground's soft enough to dig and the Bindweed is visible in the soft earth. If the ground had have been hard the roots would be harder to spot.

Couch grass is harder to dig and to spot. It has a firm grip on the ground and the ground needs to be soft to dig it. It's difficult to see it unless it's in the quantities I have here.

Once the clumps have been broken down a bit it should be easy - though laborious to pick it up out of the broken down soil.

The best thing to do with it after removing it is to burn it.
